The method
You learn English by understanding it, not by studying it.
Every child on earth learns their first language the same way: thousands of hours of listening to people they can almost understand. Nobody explains grammar to a two year old. Comprehensible input brings that process to adults learning English.
The four habits
- 1
Start where you understand
Pick videos that feel a little easy. Understanding is the whole point — if you follow the story, your brain is learning.
- 2
Move up one small step
When a level feels comfortable, choose something slightly harder. Always slightly. That small gap is where acquisition happens.
- 3
Listen almost every day
Thirty minutes a day is enough to change your English. One hour a day gets you to fluency in about four years.
- 4
Let speaking come later
Speaking grows out of listening. When you have heard enough English, the words start arriving on their own.
The four levels
Slow speech, pictures and gestures. No English knowledge needed.
Clear, simple stories and conversations you can mostly follow.
Longer talks and real conversations at a comfortable pace.
Unfiltered English, full speed, made for people, not learners.
1,500 hours to fluency
That is the number most learners need to use English comfortably for everything: work, friendships, travel, jokes. We count every minute for you.
